Indie Beauty Expo (IBE) has announced its 2016 Best in Show winners — and is launching a boxed set filled with a deluxe sample size of each of the 21 winning products. All boxes must be pre-ordered on IBE’s website, for $99.95, and will ship in March 2017.

Jillian Wright, co-founder of IBE, says, “We are delighted to recognize the innovation and excellence indie brands are bringing to the beauty market.”

Nader Naeymi-Rad, co-founder of IBE, adds, “What is especially impressive is not only the quality of the wining brands, but also the breadth of categories that they cover…these are beautiful products that demonstrate why indie brands are one of the fastest growing categories in the beauty retail market.”

IBE which provides a platform that showcases independent beauty, lifestyle and wellness brands, wrapped up its show in Los Angeles on January 19th—and will hold its next event in Dallas, May 9th -11th; and then in New York August 22nd – 24th, 2017.  

The Winners

There were 230 brands that exhibited at IBE in 2016, and 88 were nominated for a Best in Show award.

The 21 winners were chosen by a panel of 8 experts representing the beauty and wellness industry, including: Julie Keller Callahan, Editorial Director at American Spa; Jayme Cyk, Beauty Director at Violet Grey; Deven Hopp, Beauty Editor at Byrdie.com; Bart Kaczanowicz, Influencer, InHautePursuit.com; Amanda Jo, Influencer, theOrganicBunny.com; Romain Galliard, founder of The Detox Market; Jessica Matlin, Beauty Editor at Teen Vogue and Jamie Stone, Influencer, HonestlyJamie.com.
